Dr Joe Sutliff Sanders teaches children’s media in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge. He is a Fellow of Lucy Cavendish College, where he is helping to build the first major library of graphic novels at the university. He is the author of three books, most recently a study of Batman: The Animated Series, and the editor or co-editor of three more, including a book on children’s comics and another on the legendary Belgian cartoonist Hergé.
